Jexi pawed through the forest pausing every few moments to scent the air for prey... Or wolves.

Jexi caught the smell of a wolf...it was Ari...great. And another wolf. She'd laugh if Ari actually had a mate.

Ari took a step back . " Maybe we should leave . . . " he whispered , hoping to get out before the she-wolf sensed them .

Nuke sneered , " What , are you scared ? Of a tiny she-wolf ? "

Jexi spotted wolves in the distance. It had to be Ari and his "mate". She narrowed her eyes and sat down, hoping they wouldn't notice her.

Chihuahua wrote:" Rats ! " Ari muttered , sure she had seen them . He crept backwards , keeping low to the dew-moist ground .

Nuke's yellow eyes pierced the treetops as he eyed Jexi . He had seen this she before .

Jexi stared back, now sure it was Ari, because she had seen him slink back into the shadows. She sighed and glanced towards the other wolf. Who was that?

Nuke raised an eyebrow at the she staring at him but did not say a word .

"What? Are we just going to have a staring contest all day?" Jexi growled. "And Ari, I know its you, so you might as well stop hiding," she added.

Ari cringed and slunk out of the bushes , avoiding the disapproving glare of his older brother .

Jexi shook her head. "What sort of things? Trying to catch prey?" she retorted, ignoring that Ari had come out of the bushes.

"No need to ask. You would be the last wolf I'd ask to help me hunt. But I wouldn't have to ask anyways since I've been doing it since I was a pup, while you have been doing it since...yesterday, maybe?" Jexi snapped.
